These positions will work remotely in Seattle, WA or in our Mid-Town NYC, NY Headquarters

Job Summary:
Our entire Platform is based on a JavaScript application. We use HTML5 and we access Data by XHR queries to a Python driven backend utilizing JSON. Handlebars is used as a template language. The platform is used as a web service backend for various sites and mobile apps. It is CS knowledge and plain old pragmatism smashed together to make a zippy core service used by various other apps. The service mainly delivers JSON over REST-ish looking calls, but needs to offer more options in the future (other payload types, and other transport options).

Requirements:
You will have a firm grasp of JavaScript as a prototype driven language (should be able to describe how prototype-driven development differs from procedural, functional, and traditional OO programming)
You have understanding and have built applications remotely leveraging API
You can design UX flows that take advantage of the strengths of a service-oriented architecture
You have used distributed version control (git, mercurial, bazaar, etc.)
JQuery and Handlebars experience is a plus
An good eye for visual design is a plus
